Drummer Domo Branch and his creative cohorts that make up Branchin’ Out honor colossal legend Max Roach, an artist whose contributions revolutionized live and recorded music, and developed new contexts for art as activism. Branch and his fellow artists interpret music from Roach’s seminal recordings, We Insist!, Deeds, Not Words, and of course, Members, Don’t Git Weary. Expect an evening of new energy and activation around timeless music.
